(A Shakespearean Sonnet)

by Nancy Ness

I'm reeeally sick! I hab an awfoo code -
I don' feel good doe madder what I do.
I deed tsum soup and a stupfed bear to hode.
Oh doe.. Here cubs a great bid sneedze... ah-CHOO!

I'm reeeally sick! I'm stnupfly and I'm blue
I deed a great bid box ob titsues, pleadze -
Here cubs another, AH-ah-AH-ah-CHOO!!
I'b sorry folks, I din'nt mean to sneedze.

 But I can'd breedthe - I cough an' then I wheedze.
Rebembering what mommy always said,
"Stay cubbered and drindk tea so you don' freedze."
If you'd escuze me pleadze, I'm goind back to bed.

Who-ebber gabe dis awfoo code to me.
Pleadze take it back - Now where idz my blankey???
