Years
by Velma M. Carlson

Many years have passed since I was a little child
But, when I really stop to think, it’s been such a little while
I think back now, and still remember all the happy times I had
And the memories are so sweet, when I had my mom and dad.

Don’t know where all the years have gone, no one to tell me how, or when.
But when I walk down memory lane, it seems they all come back again
I had four sisters and a brother and they were all so good to
me
As time went by there were many changes, not all have gone

“There is only me"

I have so many memories, especially of sister, Bun –
We were very close in years, so we had a lot of fun.
She would take my hand and I would go – anywhere she did –
We were always so very close, when we were little kids.

I’m so glad I still remember – I pray I’ll always be this way.
May I always be tomorrow, just the way I am today.
