Mother
by Velma M. Carlson

“Let not your heart be troubled,” is how the Scripture reads.
“If you believe in God, Believe also in Me.”
It says,: There are many mansions in the heavens up
   Above.
So I know that Mother has a home, a place where she
   Is loved.
It says: If there were not a place, He would have told
   Us so
I know it must be beautiful and she’d want us all to
   Know.
He said he would prepare a place so that we could be
   With Him.
I know she’s happy in his care, and with the angels
   Sing.
Three more years have passed us by since Mother went
   Away.
But how we miss her smiling face, her presence bright
   And gay.
So, dearest Mother, “Rest in Peace” and we pray to God
   Above
That you have a home so beautiful, where there’s nothing
   Else than love.

In loving memory of Alice K Martin who passed away
February 10, 1967
