Let Me
by Velma M. Carlson

Let me kiss him one more time.
Let me stroke his brow.
Let me stand close beside him;
Let me touch him now.
Let me hold his hand in mine;
Let me speak softly to him.
Let me tell him of my love.
Let me please? Just
One more time?

Let me put my arms around him.
Let me kiss his cheeks again.
Let me hold him close once more.
Let me please, please –

Let me please?
