Away
by Velma M. Carlson

In memory of her dear father, George F. McGraw, who died on August 26, 1928.

He has gone, but he’s not
Forgotten
Dearest father, husband and
Friend;
Because we loved him so, we’ll
Always feel
Our sorrow has just begun.
Time heals the aches and sorrows.
We really cannot see;
We miss him so, dear Daddy,
Why did it have to be?
He loved his home and children,
His friends around him, too
Far and wide, from town to town,
There were many, not a few.
Dearest father, “Rest in Peace”
Until the Judgment Day
We feel you really are not dead
You must be “just away.”
